Hi Everyone........
Welcome to my personal website :)
I started this site after I was crowned Miss
Alabama's Outstanding Teen 2007; it's purpose was to promote my platform of building self-esteem through
dance, and also as a blog of my travels and adventures representing the title. I enjoyed it so much that I've decided
to continue my site to update my friends and family.
My work with at-risk preteen girls through the Boys & Girls Club has
changed my life profoundly, and continues to be very important to me......I am also now a mentor for "Smart Girls" ,
a program that allows preteen girls the opportunity openly discuss a variety of topics relevant to teens, from diet and excercise
to peer pressure and substance abuse.

I'm 17 years old and a junior in high
school....academics are extremely important to me, so I'm very proud of my 4.5 GPA :)
I am in the dual enrollment program, which means I receive college credit for my Honors courses.....in
addition to my academic schedule, I am a geometry tutor for the National Honor Society, and I also tutor at a local elementary
school.
I'm an active member of Christians In Action (Secretary),
SGA (Jr. Vice President) and recently elected SGA President for 2010-11, National Honor Society (Vice
President), Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Competition Math Team, Government
Club, HOSA (Reporter), Biology Club, Spanish Club, Future Business Leaders of America (Vice
President), Key Club, Prom Committee and the 1st United Methodist Church
Youth Group.....
DANCE IS MY PASSION.........I've
been studying dance for 14 years, and having taken a year off to promote the Outstanding Teen program, I'm very excited about
returning full time to both the DSD Performance Team and the Southeast
Alabama Dance Company....... my dance training (18-20 hours a week) is a HUGE part of my life, but I feel
the benefits far outweigh the sacrifices I am often forced to make.
I have recently been hired by the Dothan/Enterprise Schools of Dance
to teach classes this next school year....and I will also be available for choreography and private lessons.....send me a
message on Facebook for more info.....

In addition to dance and my volunteer work, I enjoy reading, pageantry, shopping, and commercial and
print modeling. I was honored to model for a national Tony Bowls campaign in 2007, and I am currently the spokesmodel for
The Princess Pageant Room in Dothan, AL. Miss Debby is a certified pageant consultant
with over 20 years experience and can help you with all of your pageant needs from wardrobe to coaching....she's a wonderful
lady!

My plans for the future include graduating from high school at the top of my class (I'm working
hard on that one, I'm currently 3rd in my class of 200).....I'm planning a double major in broadcast
journalism and physics, with my ultimate goal a PhD in meteorology......all while pursuing opportunities in dance.
I am considering both Auburn University and Vanderbilt University, but I plan to apply to many different
colleges across the country, so we'll see what Gods plan is for me.
My goal is to work as a broadcast meteorolgist for The Weather Channel.....and perhaps eventually
work for the National Weather Service or NASA......I dream of standing on a windy, rainy, tropical beach reporting live from
the eye of a raging hurricane! Watch for me.....

I had such an AMAZING year representing Alabama as Miss
Alabama's Outstanding Teen in 2007. I believe so strongly
in the Outstanding Teen program, and the many ways it celebrates and rewards the academic and creative accomplishments
of teens.
To date, through the Miss Alabama/Miss America's Outstanding Teen
Organizations, I have been awarded over $46,000 in scholarship assistance; including a full 4 year scholarship to Troy University, and a full 4 year scholarship to Auburn
University.........in addition to the opportunities I've had for self improvement and personal growth.
To any teens ages 13-17 even considering participating, I
encourage you to GO FOR IT.....you will benefit so much by just being involved. And to any preteens
considering future involvement, my advice is to work hard on your talent, work hard in school, and develop a community service
platform based on something you are truly passionate about. I promise it will forever change and enrich your life.
Thanks for visiting my site!
